Loni S., author of The Needlepoint Book, whose penname is Jo Ippolito Christensen, became a bilateral cornea recipient after being diagnosed with keratoconus. With her vision restored, she was able to revise her book, introducing modern materials, global contributions, and design principles that influenced teachers, artists, and stitchers worldwide.
