Today we honor and remember the brave men and women whose lives were given in service to something greater than themselves.

At Heartland Core Wellness, we also recognize the families, children, friends, and communities who carry both the pride and the weight of that sacrifice every day.

As we gather, rest, travel, cook out, and spend time with the people we love, may we also take a moment to reflect on the cost of freedom, the importance of community, and the responsibility we all share to care for one another well.

Wishing our community a safe, meaningful, and restorative Memorial Day.

What's something small that helps you reset mentally?

Rest.
Music.
Laughter.
Movement.
Sunlight.
Good conversation.

Sometimes healing looks like:
a phone call,
a meal,
a ride,
a conversation,
or simply being present.
Small things matter more than we think.

At Heartland Core Wellness, we believe mental health care should be accessible, informed and rooted in human connection.

This conversation from Kier Gaines speaks to the importance of cultural competency within the mental health profession and why lived experience can impact how people communicate, cope, seek help and experience care.

As conversations around trauma-informed care continue evolving, it’s important that communities feel seen, heard, and understood when reaching for support.

Awareness matters.
Access matters.
How people experience care matters.

Today we honor the mothers, grandmothers, aunties, caregivers, and women who continue showing up for others while carrying so much of the world on their shoulders.

Motherhood is beautiful and sometimes heavy.

We hope today feels soft in some way. A little slower.
A little lighter.
A reminder that you deserve care too.

Happy Mother’s Day from Heartland Core Wellness.

Before the night ends, check in with yourself. What’s been weighing on you lately?

Name one stress trigger. Be honest with yourself.

Stress doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like overwhelm, pressure, burnout, overthinking, lack of rest, or carrying too much for too long.

We all deserve moments of peace.

U = U means Undetectable = Untransmittable. When a person living with HIV is on treatment and reaches an undetectable viral load, they cannot pass HIV to their sexual partners. This is liberation. This is science. This is protection.

Honoring the veterans who walk among us in Highlands County—the neighbors, family members, and elders whose service protected our nation and strengthened our community.

Many returned home carrying stories, memories, and healing that our communities must hold with care. Today, we honor not only their courage, but their ongoing journey toward wellness, belonging, and peace.

We thank you. We see you. We are committed to supporting the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

🕊️ With gratitude, Heartland Core Wellness.
