Some of you I have on my personal page so this is a repeat post kinda.
I had my heart cath yesterday and had a 90% blocked artery and ended up with 6 stents…. 😳 yes I wasn’t expecting this I went in thinking we are going to check things out and I may need 1 stent so this was rather interesting. Dr. Said gentetics was a big factor and Im very lucky that the signs were there.

It was a little rough afterwards the meds did not agree with me and I had to be flat for 12 hours which wasn’t fun trying not to move and not decorate the room 🤮

I slept as well as I could in the hospital and woke up this morning at 6am with more energy then I’ve had in years. Hallaluja!

If all heals well and I actually force myself to rest I will be back in action Tuesday. Giving myself ample time to heal and attend follow up appointments.

Next journey is Moffitt to tackle the thyroid issue but that will be next month.

Hello, my friends 👋. I am scheduled for next Wednesday to have my heart cath done due to a possible blockage. I will be out next week, starting Wednesday, 9/17, through Friday, 9/19. I know I'll be in good hands, and I appreciate each and every one of you who have had so much understanding through all this craziness.

Plans are to rest and probably watch a lot of Netflix. So, any suggestions for a good movie or series are much appreciated. 😉 🍿 🎥

The thyroid is on hold, but I took advantage of this wait while the heart gets ready for the next chapter in my health journey and made an appointment with Moffitt to dig a little deeper into my recent unclear diagnosis. I figured it would be a good idea to get a second opinion from a facility that specializes in thyroid and thyroid cancer.

When in doubt be persistent get your heart checked many of my family on both sides have either passed at an early age from heart disease or have had issues that had to be addressed at a young age.

The hospital sent me home knowing there was something not right and I was persistent enough and to get ahold my cardiologist the very next morning. Both him and I were persistent enough to know something wasn’t right and acted promptly.

Please, Establish yourself with a trusted cardiologist esp if you have a family history. Your heart is just as important to check as your annual mammogram.

I lost my brother at 46 to a heart attack and he has been my push to be a better advocate for my heart health. ❤️‍🩹

Good afternoon as many may already know I was to have thyroid surgery at the beginning of September due to atypical nodules.

Plans have chaged and I will be having a heart cath first due to a possible blockage. With that said the week of 9/2-9/6 my schedule has reopened. Until I know more I am leaving my schedule open. With pending availability after I meet my surgeon and discuss a game plan.
I have had a congenital heart valve issue since birth but it’s time to address it. I am blessed that I already have a great cardiologist. Between the two health issues I am taking a lighter schedule but I will be available until at least mid September.
