The INFINITY Total Ankle System is a specific brand of ankle replacement that we use in our practice at Florida Joint & Spine. The INFINITY Total Ankle System is made up of a highly polished metal talar dome, a titanium alloy tibial tray and an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene insert, abbreviated as UHMWPE.

The INFINITY System has a wide variety of sizes to best match our patient’s specific ankle anatomy and to provide them with the best possible ankle replacement. We also utilize pre operative CT scans to create custom make cutting guides for each patient.

Dr. Anand Thakur, MD is excited to join the exceptional team at Florida Joint and Spine Institute. He is looking forward to working with a brilliant team of compassionate and dedicated surgeons who are dedicated to the best evidence based outcomes for their patients.

Currently, Dr. Thakur spends his time performing all aspects of advanced interventional pain management and innovative techniques such as plasma rich protein injection, stem cells and other advanced biological products. He performs hundreds of interventional procedures every year and but also enjoys teaching and discussing new innovations with colleagues in his field. He is a key opinion leader in pain medicine at both the state and national levels. He has also authored book chapters In both anesthesiology and pain medicine.

Meet Chuck Waltman! Chuck Waltman, PA-C works in the office and is proficient in the Diagnosis and treatment of various orthopaedic conditions, joint aspirations, injections, casting/splinting and management of various fractures. He assists in surgery in such procedures as Total Joint Replacements and Arthroscopies. Prior to joining the staff at Florida Joint and Spine Institute, Chuck worked approximately 10 years in Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. He also served 12 years in the Army Reserves which included one year serving in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded “Solider of the Year” in 1998 and “Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year” in 2001.
