The Juice Pod just opened last week in Springfield and I’ve been there three times already!!! I’m obsessed and so happy there is an açaí bowl place so close 🎉🎉 They have other great options too like avocado toast, cold pressed juices and smoothies as well as other delicious lunch options! Eat colorfully ya’ll 🍑🍍🍎🥒🥕🥬🥦

Hi!!!! For the last month I have been transitioning into the role of Public Health and Wellness Coordinator at Springfield Pharmacy. I have a few projects in the works that I wanted to tell you about!

I am currently reaching out to schools in the area to see if I can come teach the younger kids (K - 2) about the importance of eating fruits and vegetables! I have an interactive presentation and informational handouts for the kids to take home to their parents that include tips and tricks on how to increase these foods in their children’s diets! Springfield Pharmacy is giving out FREE children’s vitamins (age 2-12) to those who switch their prescriptions to our pharmacy!

Also, we have Pet medications! I will be at Bark in the Park October 26th promoting some over the counter meds and CBD oil for pets!

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is an approved condition for medical cannabis access in Pennsylvania, because so many parents saw success in using it and lobbied for inclusion at the capitol. PA Governor, Tom Wolf, posted some very promising results from CBD in ASD in a video on his page.

Most of the results Dr. Capano, Ananda's Chief Science Officer, experienced include a decrease in self-injurious behavior and aggressive behavior, as well as an increase in verbal and non-verbal communication. The mechanism of action is hypothesized as CBD’s inhibition of FAAH, and Dr. Capano imagine the anxiolytic properties of CBD contribute to this effect.
