We’re honored to be considered for America’s Favorite Couple! Our love story began the old-fashioned way, in a newspaper personals ad back in December 1995, just before the historic Blizzard of ’96. While the world around us froze, something warm and lasting began to grow.

Now, 27 years of marriage later, through life’s storms and sunshine, we’re still best friends, soulmates, and partners in everything. Ours is a love built on faith, laughter, resilience, and deep respect.

Dr. Kia is the first African American female owner of the first Mental Health Urgent Center in this entire region.

Affectinately known as “Dr. K”~ she is a wife, mother, motivational speaker, counselor, Christian educator, author, life and marriage coach. Dr. Kia, loves helping people and seeing them smile, live, love and laugh again, this brings her much joy!

Dr. Kia is the Chief Executive Officer of Finding Your Way Mental Health Urgent Care, a self-help service that is dedicated to helping her clients discover themselves, find their voice, their identity, their power, their gifts, their talents, their skills and their abilities so they can live a healthier lifestyle and empower them to accomplish their dreams and goals.
