A brand new, state-of-the-art lobby, and renovated fourth floor patient rooms have arrived at Bayonne University Hospital - and are just the start of transformational, multi-million dollar upgrades.

In 2024, HRH took over the system which was on the brink of closure. Today, Bayonne University Hospital is thriving with an even brighter future, with more improvements on the way:

The first of its kind in Hudson County: HRH’s Dr. Brett Bielory performed the region’s first procedure using the enVista Envy lens, an advanced, state-of-the-art technology used during cataract surgery.

This procedure removes a cloudy lens in the eye (a cataract) and replaces it with a new lens designed to help patients see clearly at near, intermediate, and far distances - often reducing the need for glasses or contacts.

It’s the latest way HRH is using the latest advances in the medical world right here at our facilities in Hudson County.

Another HRH Milestone!

Hudson Regional Health and New York Medical College today announced that HRH’s orthopedic residency program has been approved for accreditation and will welcome its first class of orthopedic surgery residents this summer.

The academic affiliation between HRH and NYMC, announced in December 2025, designated HRH as a teaching site for the education and training of NYMC medical students in family medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and now orthopedic surgery.

HRH and NYMC are proud to partner in providing expert training to the next generation of physicians - a collaboration that will continue to benefit communities across Hudson County, New Jersey, and the entire tri-state area.
