The ToRCH Be Well Leadership Board recently awarded $180,000 in grant funding to three Pettis County organizations working to improve health and well-being for local residents.

Pettis County Health Center received $90,000 for its Pathways to Wellness program, focused on preventive care education and community outreach.

Sedalia Community Helping Hands received $50,000 to purchase a building at 116 S. Ohio in downtown Sedalia for meeting and warehouse space.

United Way of Pettis County received $40,000 to hire a part-time Program Assistant to increase the rate of services provided and help more people in the community.

Since September 2024, the ToRCH Be Well Leadership Board has awarded more than $538,000 to 10 organizations across Pettis County.

Bothwell’s ToRCH program helps eligible Medicaid recipients access resources designed to reduce avoidable hospital visits by addressing non-medical factors like transportation, housing and food. Grant funding allows community-based organizations to create additional resources.
