Sent one of our dental hygienists out to Otterville School to speak to the preschoolers on the importance of brushing & flossing! 🤍🦷🪥
Ayla got to read a fun tooth book by Dr. Seuss, & we did a little demonstration with Play-Doh and an ice cube tray to show the kids how to floss! We quickly learned that twin line plackers are so much easier to use versus the traditional string floss although when use correctly, the traditional string floss is very effective.

We discussed the formation of bacteria and how it feeds on the sugar, creating plaque which destroys your enamel by stripping the minerals from it.

They were very engaged & answered all of the questions correctly! Miss Schoen had a few dental books in the classroom and had already thoroughly gone over many things with the kiddos!🤍🦷🪥 What a fun little event to have kiddos tag along to.
