Activity: Christmas Week at Pleasant Valley
Story: It was a Christmas to remember ! We kicked off the day with warm tasty cinnamon rolls, exchanged gifts with Santa then breakfast ,The highlight of the day was our Special Christmas dinner with family. Christmas Eve karaoke & Cocktails, Special visit from our local Girl Scouts who sang & distributed gifts, 4-H participated , bringing gifts, and we were treated to fresh fruit yogurt courtesy of some special visitors. We had an enjoyable old fashion Christmas.

Activity: Our TMC Therapy Department hosting Christmas with the Residents.
Story: Our TMC Therapy Department hosting Christmas with Residents :Alfreda Speers (Rehab Director), Angela Thomas (Physical Therapy) & Wendy Brown (Occupational Therapy) made Christmas goodies and served punch giving back to the residents. Our Therapy department strives to help residents reach & maintain goals of each individual.

Activity: Residents preparing for the season
Story: Residents are encouraged to share talents. Richard: “Deacon” is preparing for Christmas Eve Service’s at PVM. JoAnne:” Writer-Storyteller” is working on a Christmas Story to be read on Christmas Morning. Claudia, Susan, JoAnn & Alvin” Activity Planning Committee” Sorting Christmas cards & assuring all residents have cards to send to loved ones & friends.

Activity: Praise and Worship Revival
Story: The Assembly of God Church lead by Pastor Cinda presented for our residents and guest with a “Praise & Worship Revival” Residents are grateful and have restored faith with having Pastor Cinda commitment to continuing bring the word to our residents.

Activity: “Collecting tabs for Charity”
Story: Reseidents Council presenting Kendra as the winner of our “Collecting tabs for Charity” contest . Kendra's guess was 8,500 and we have to date 8,575. We will continue to collect tabs until we reach our goal to fill the water jug completely and the pass on to our Therapy Department for donation.

Activity: Resident & Staff Annual Halloween Trick or Trunk.
Story: Halloween is one of our fall events that we enjoy connecting with the children and families. On this brisk fall night, we had 10 of our residents that joined our staff supported annual Trick or Trunk at Pleasant Valley. This year we had 145 trick or treaters of all ages. Residents passed out crayons, color books, flavored lip balm, hocus pocus hand lotion, bendable pencils, mini flashlights and candy. Our managers & families decorated and passed out candy.
Fond memories of the past & present was made.

Activity: Residents counting tabs for charity
Story: Our residents enjoy Cocktails and decided to have a dual purpose “Collecting tabs for Charity” We currently have a contest going for guessing the number of tabs and asking everyone to bring us tabs. Our goal is to fill the water jug completely and the pass on to our Therapy Department. Winner will receive a Countertop Air Purifier. Can you guess how many the residents have collected to date!?!
