How to get stronger & build muscle training from home with kettlebells 👇🏼

To give you context...

We’ve been ripping kettlebell only workouts the last 6 years.

Why?

✔️This style of training makes us feel good, move better & gives us confidence to do what we want when we want.

It’s one of those, “If it aint broke don’t fix it” situations.

And we know this approach to fitness isn’t for everyone...

But if you like simple, sustainable and effective then here’s how we’ve been able to continuously make progress and grow in our movement practice!

👉🏼 Our training program runs in 8 week cycles.
💥 Week 1 our team tests a couple exercises
💥 We get after it with three ~45min workouts/week
💥 On Week 8 we retest to assess the gains
💥 We “deload” on Week 5 and after Week 8 testing and then we dive into a new training cycle.

This cycle of stress & recovery works really well for us...

🔑 It keeps you consistent enough to make progress without consuming your entire life.

Which is how we like to approach fitness.

During this training session we retested our Double Chest Press!

✅ Gab leveled up from 8 to 15 reps with dbl 20kg
✅ Bij pushed from 5 to 9 reps with dbl 40kg

While these last 8 weeks were far from perfect we made progress by following the progressive plan laid out for us…

A little structure goes a long way 👏🏼

Something’s better than nothing! 🤟🏼

Ripped this session in 30 minutes as a lil shake out before pacing a 17 mile section of Cocodona 250 ⛰️

Love these workouts cause they GIVE you energy and make your body feel better than before 🔑

Heel elevated squats to activate the quads
Cossack squats to open the hips
And a push pull superset of C&J and Pull ups to round out the upper body

Full Body Kettlebell Workout (details 👇🏼)

1️⃣ Warm Up (1 round)
Cat Cow 60 sec
Glute Bridge 10 reps
V Roll Up 8 reps
Lunge Iso Hold 25 sec
Overhead March 25 sec

2️⃣ Power/Plyos (1-2 rounds)
Single Leg Pogo Matrix 25 sec
Side to side jumps 8 reps
Sn**ch Long Press Lateral Lunge 3 each side

3️⃣ Strength/Hypertrophy (2-3 rounds)
Double Heel Elevated Front Squat 8-10 reps
Goblet Cossack Squat 8-10 reps each side
Double Viking Press 6-8 reps
Pull Up 5 reps

4️⃣ Finisher (3-5 rounds)
Double Swing, Sn**ch, Viking, Jerk

The goal is to get it done in 45 minutes or less & feel better after the workout than before 🔥

Grab your bell & rip this arm finisher 🔥💪🏼

The goal is to get 10-12 reps of each exercise so pick a weight that you fall within that rep range while pushing to 1-2 reps in reserve…

That means, once you hit 12 reps you should feel damn close to failure!

On Tuesdays we rip a quick accessory session focused on core, arms and lower body exercises to keep everything feeling tight and our knees strong for the trails.

We did a superset of this arm circuit with hanging high knees with rotation and it hit just right! 🔥

Damn, isn’t that the truth!

Thats why we do the little things on the daily that keep us healthy, energized and ready for whatever life throws our way.

We don’t take a stack of supplements or have a 10 part morning routine…

To us being healthy isn’t about quick fixes, instead, finding long term solutions to age with strength and confidence.

Eat Whole Foods, lift weights, get outside in nature and be grateful for this adventure called life! 🤟🏼
