Health First Foundation is dedicated to improving health and well-being in our region. We are a 501(c)(3) public charity.

We believe every person has the right to live their happiest, healthiest self. Our focus at Health First Foundation is to nurture opportunities that make this possible. In doing so, we increase the positive impact on health in our region, especially for our most vulnerable populations. With the ever-changing landscape of health and care, we see countless inspiring examples of individuals and nonprofit organizations in our local communities collaborating to enrich the lives of others in the places we call home. Community builders at heart, we are passionate about connecting people with impact. Here’s a snapshot of what we do:

Grants — connecting local community organizations to new tools and resources through our grantmaking program. Giving — connecting people with purposeful opportunities to make a difference. Special Events — connecting the general public to worthy causes.

See Your Grant Dollars in Action: Our team visited our amazing grant recipient, Dental Days, to see firsthand the incredible work they are doing to address dental care access in Northern Arizona.

Thanks to the support of the Northern Arizona Health First Foundation, Dental Days provides essential, no-cost care to hundreds of our neighbors. This life-changing, NAFF-funded program relies on dedicated volunteers to run smoothly.

You do not need to be a dentist to help. Whether you assist with patient registration, event setup, or administrative tasks, your time directly supports a vital community resource.

November is National Diabetes Month!

This month highlights the importance of understanding, preventing, and managing diabetes: a condition that affects millions of Americans each year. Access to nutritious food, preventive care, and regular screenings all play a key role in managing diabetes, especially in rural and underserved areas across Northern Arizona.

We’ll be sharing more this month about local programs and partners making a difference in community health, so stay tuned!

Access to healthy food shouldn’t be a struggle. Here in Flagstaff we have incredible sources to grab a healthy meal or fresh groceries. From the Flagstaff Family Food Center to the Arizona Food Bank Network, local programs which are supported by neighbors, local partners, and us here at the Health First Foundation, are making sustainable food more accessible for our Northern Arizona communities.
