Accord Hospice of Sedona was grateful to host our 8th annual Lights of Remembrance Tree Lighting Ceremonies on Thursday and Sunday of last week. Both ceremonies were unique and meaningful.

Each year as the holidays approach, we each start to plan...we begin to think of all that is ahead. How will we make this season special and include our holiday traditions? But along with that may come those moments of sadness as we miss those that will not be with us to celebrate. We gathered at both the Sedona United Methodist Church and The Station on 6th (Verde Valley Senior Center) to acknowledge those feelings of "missing," and also the brilliant light of those who have touched our lives forever. It was a time to reflect and confirm those who may not be with us physically, but remain in our hearts always.
Thank you to all who attended and to Sedona United Methodist Church and The Station on 6th for watching over our trees during the holiday season.
Please know that our Lights of Remembrance trees will remain lit throughout the holiday season and you are welcome to visit for your own personal time of reflection.

Thursday, December 4th from 5-6 pm - Sedona United Methodist Church, 110 Indian Cliffs Road, Sedona
Sunday, December 7th from 5-6 pm - The Station on 6th (formerly Verde Valley Senior Center) - 500 East Cherry St., Cottonwood
Along with the lighting of the tree, there will be music, a special message, and the opportunity to say the name of the person(s) you continue to hold dear in your heart. The trees will remain lit throughout the holiday season.
Light Refreshments will follow.

Accord Hospice of Sedona is so honored to host our annual Lights of Remembrance Tree Lighting Ceremony once again this year and also to announce that we are adding an additional location in Cottonwood. All are welcome to attend at the location of your choice.
On Thursday, December 4th, we will host at the Sedona United Methodist Church - 110 Indian Cliffs Rd. in Sedona.
On Sunday, December 7th, we will be hosting at our newest location - The Station on 6th (formerly the Verde Valley Senior Center) 500 E. Cherry St. in Cottonwood.
Both events will take place from 5-6 pm with the lighting of the tree at 5:15 pm by a family that has been served by Accord Hospice. Along with the tree lighting, there will be beautiful music, a special message, and refreshments to follow. There will also be a time to acknowledge those loved ones and friends that you miss. The tree will remain lit throughout the holiday season in honor and memory of those we cherish.

Please join us for our Annual Lights of Remembrance Tree lighting event at the location of your choosing. It will be a special evening to honor those we miss, especially during the holiday season. Along with a special ceremony that includes music and a brief message, the tree will be lit and remain so throughout the holiday season. Light refreshments will follow.

Excited to announce that our own Dr. Curtis Kommer will be giving a talk at the OLLI - Osher Life Long Learning Institute in Sedona on Monday, November 10th from 1-3 pm. (Sedona Center - Yavapai Community College Campus)
His presentation - Navigating the Aging Process will be a discussion about why we age, strategies to slow the process, how to use the healthcare system wisely, how to best manage your affairs as you get older, and how to prepare for the end-of-life.

If you have not heard Dr. Kommer speak, you are in for an inspiring session, as he speaks with knowledge, humor, and grace. Dr. Kommer has been with Accord Hospice of Sedona for 10 years - 8 of those years as Medical Director. He always serves our patients and their families with expertise and phenomenal care and continues to support our clinical team and provide education on end-of-life care to the Sedona/Verde Valley communities. He is also a published author and an accomplished artist.

OLLI is an inquiring and engaged community of adults, age 50 and above, who share an interest in learning about traditional discipline and fascinating new areas of knowledge.

Tonight Accord was so pleased to participate in the Northern Arizona Health Breast Cancer Symposium! We were so inspired by the amazing stories of determination, courage, and strength.

A panel of experts convened to answer questions and present the latest approaches to breast health and breast cancer treatment support. Attendees shared their journeys, and we laughed, cried, and celebrated milestones— truly a special night!

Thank you again, to Northern Arizona Health and everyone who made this event so successful! As a proud sponsor, Accord has committed to continuing to share the importance of early detection, prevention, and supporting patients and families— we are honored to walk along side you on this journey.

Our Day of Adventure was amazing! Thank you to all who supported Camp SOAR and our wonderful kids who attended!
Our partners - Eye Boutique of Sedona, Unify Sedona, Sedona United Methodist Church, and West Point Financial Group - we so appreciate your continued support.
We welcomed SedonaKind and Kari Valles for facilitating two amazing art projects. Your time, talent, and kindness made such a positive impact on our campers.
SAVCO and Toys for Tots, once again, thank you! Spending time with our kids at lunch and providing them with some fun things to take home was wonderful!
Sedona Jeep Tours - thank you for taking the time to stop by and take a photo with us...it was a great start on our Jungle Safari!
And... Vvo Reptile Ranch & Rescue - you and your reptile friends wrapped up our Day of Adventure!
