Here's a great example of how tiny a baby louse can be. It looks large in the photo but that was taken with a microscope. After the microscope photo, I put the bug on my finger and placed it next to the microscope photo for comparison. So tiny!

I know this isn't a horrific case but she just saw her hair stylist 3 weeks ago, who didn't see this. She also recently (past 3 weeks) asked her cancer doctor AND her family physician why she itched. She was told dry scalp and was recommended Head and Shoulders. These photos were taken AFTER her family treated her and "got most of it out already". This is why a professional check FROM A LICE PROFESSIONAL is so important!
