She got to enjoy another ball this year! I still remember the first time she asked for a prince to take her to a ball. We were in the hospital when she was first diagnosed and had been there 2 weeks which to her seemed like a lifetime, and for me as well. I asked her if she had a wish what would it be? She said for a prince to take her to a ball. I said wow that a special wish, why? I didn't think that would be anything she would think of or ask for at 5 years old. She said because then she would be at the ball and not in the hospital sick. We got out of the hospital before Christmas and my very dear former coworkers/ ER family got her tickets and made sure she was able to attend her first Cinderella . So now we make sure she goes every year.
