Our classes teach these life saving skills but everyone can quickly learn how to save a life with this video on what to do if someone is choking.

When someone is choking, knowing how to act can be the difference between life and death for the victim. Dr. Holly Andersen, cardiologist at Ronald O. Perelman Heart Institute, teaches Hoda and Jenna how to do the Heimlich maneuver and what to do with children younger than 1.

• AHA Provider Cards will be valid for 120 days beyond their recommended renewal date.
