Norton Children’s was represented at the ExtraCorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) conference! The conference brings together nurses, surgeons, and other specialists to share the latest information on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and other extracorporeal life support (ECLS) techniques. This international conference had over 250 speakers, and Brad spoke on the creation and improvements of a pediatric ECMO transport program with your favorite JFK Transport Team. We are so lucky to have Brad in our corner, working diligently to assist us in planning for some of the most critical patients. Let’s give a huge shout out for his success with this presentation! Go Brad!

Today Tory visited Harrison County to give providers hands-on practice in responding to critical situations with confidence and care. Our friends at Air Methods Corydon even came over to participate! As always, thank you for the participation and eagerness in learning all about pediatric care!

Man, was today a busy day! I got checked off on needle cricothyrotomy, IOs, pediatric airways, drove the fire truck (don’t worry, they said I could 😝), met some old friends with HealthForce Kentucky, and explored Owensboro! I even got to show off my snazzy flight suit! Shout out to the Norman sized Alani Nu drinks for keeping me energized all day. Until tomorrow KAPA!

JFK is looking sharp at the annual Kentucky EMS golf scramble this morning ⛳️

All proceeds from the scramble will be going toward the design and construction of a memorial to honor EMS providers who have fallen in the line of duty in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Our JFK Critical Care Transport Team traded in sirens for skills today during our first skills day—running through airways, IOs, chest tubes, and all the “what if” moments that keep us sharp when it matters most.

✅ IOs? Nailed it.
✅ Airway? Secured.
✅ Teamwork? Always on point.
