I watch people in the gym all the time that don't seem to know what they are doing. They jump from one machine to another. They don't understand how to use it or what they are working on.
For anyone starting a workout regime I highly recommend getting a Certified Personal Trainer. Just like you wouldn't go to someone to treat your high blood pressure just because they read Web MD...you don't want to get help from someone who is not certified. Your health is important and you will best be served by seeing a professional. A certified trainer is also knowledgeable about nutrition which is vitally important in reaching your fitness goals.

Hey everyone. I would like some feedback on an idea. If I go live a couple days a week what kinda fitness related topics would you like to hear about?

2017-present
In 2017 I was my strongest. My squat and deadlifts were near the mid 500s and I hit 380 on bench by the end of that year... that was pretty cool. But what wasn't cool was that I was nearly 270.. I was feeling crappy, tired and mildly lethargic most of the time. It just made me lazy. Interesting thing was that I was eating decently healthy... But I was eating entirely to much. I thought I needed to eat super large amounts of food to maintain strength and muscle.... The reality is that I didn't.
When 2018 rolled around I ended up getting a pretty active job. So I made the decision to take advantage of the situation and eat what I need but not anymore or any less than what I needed. I lost close to 50 pounds. I'm about 215-220 on any given day. I still have my strength and muscle thickness.
*Trap shoulder back and leg work is very important to maintaining mass and strength.. this is important because no sane person want muscle that is all show but no go*
I definitely feel better and my energy levels are up like they should be and I'm far more athletic

Take care of your health and encourage people you love to do the same.

Abs and back: Much deeper than aesthetics.
Almost everything we do in our daily life is supported by those muscles. When we have weakness in those muscles we start suffering from pain and and degeneration because our spine isn't being supported anymore so it's taking much more damage than it's supposed too. So make sure to include exercises that contribute to the health and strength of your abs and back.

Less is not always better: A misconception in losing fat is if somebody drastically cut their calories that they will lose the fat. They may lose weight sure and a little fat at first... But after a while the metabolism slows down to maintain hody weight because the diet is to low in calories and nutrients. A better thing to do is to eat nutrient dense foods. At least 5 times a day. 5 Meals that contain 250 to 300 calories that contain proteins and veggies and good carbs can help you lose weight without starving yourself and causing muscle loss and compromise metabolism.

*Calorie amount can vary depending on Gender, Age, and Activity level. *

Why do you need a personal trainer? Because most gym rats don't know very much about health and fitness. People ask the advice of a person who looks the way they want to look. But not all work outs work for everyone. And genetics play a big part.

A personal trainer can help you feel and look the best you can if you follow their advice. Nutrition is also a big factor a personal trainer can help you with. I n fact diet is approx. 75% most important than exercise in weight loss. Exercise in very important to overall health. But it is not the main factor in losing weight.

What's the most effective exercise you can do that builds a significant amount of muscle and strength and increase HGH at the same time?
The squat! Our ancestors did a squat with almost everything they did but the luxuries of the 20th century and so on and made squatting almost non existent.
Squatting is a good way to build overall muscle mass and make your body a fat burning machine and keep your body in a anabolic state.

Typically when people try to lose weight they are usually misinformed on what to avoid. Although a high amount of fat isn't good for you... A diet rich in good fats ( Monounsaturated and Polyunsaturated fats) can greatly help in weight loss while protecting your heart. So don't let the media fool you into buying "Fat-free" items... These items contain a lot of sugar and sugary items are the main culprit in weight gain in most people.
