I hand pieced the hexagon background last year. Then I put it away because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it. I think I needed summer to arrive to see what it wanted to become.

2 days old.
While I am an ardent believer in spay and neuter, I gotta say that watching this process is amazing. This mama cat got lucky. I'm fortunate that I have the time and resources to give these babies the best chance at a happy, healthy life. Most street cats aren't so lucky.

First baby arrived around 6:15 am. Final baby arrived just before 9:30.
Mom and babies are all doing great.

A not really bonus video this week.

Monday was a scheduled Mindful Monday Making Art upload day. BUT... I've kind of decided to put them on hold for now. They take a lot of time and work to make and, I haven't been able to get them to look and sound the way I'd like. Thus, they just haven't done very well.

Therefore, I put my time and energy into something that does bring me joy! These cute slow stitch fabric boxes!

For 2025, I've challenged myself to learn a new skill, technique, or habit every month (or so, some things take longer!)

In January, it was wool spinning.

February has been watercolor painting.
I still have a lot to learn. But I've discovered that I'm much happier and enjoy it more to paint abstracts. My brain likes color, texture, and pattern. It struggles with reality! 😆😆😆

This year-long challenge is also a way for me to use all the supplies my ADHD led me to accumulate over the years.
