November is Alzheimer's Awareness Month. 💜

At Arden Courts, we recognize the incredible strength of the millions of individuals living with Alzheimer's and the dedicated family members who stand by them every day.

This month (and every month), we are committed to raising awareness, sharing vital educational resources, and ensuring that no one walks this journey alone.

Our focus is on providing specialized, compassionate care that allows residents to live fulfilling lives in a safe, supportive environment.

Memory Care is not an add-on; it's our sole focus. We're incredibly proud that our Farmington location is featured for its purpose-built design created specifically for individuals with Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

From our smaller, less overwhelming "house" layouts to secure, massive courtyards where residents can step outside freely (without waiting), our environment balances safety with dignity and independence.

As Senior Executive Director Kimberly O. says, our design makes "daily life less overwhelming."

This thoughtful approach is why we're redefining memory care.

Seeing the smiles on our residents’ faces as they handed out candy to the little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes truly highlights the importance of involving our memory care residents with the broader community. These moments of connection are precious and provide incredible joy and stimulation. It’s a wonderful reminder that everyone, regardless of cognitive ability, benefits from these meaningful intergenerational interactions!

The Jamaican spirit is often summed up by the Patois saying, “likkle but tallawah” small, yet strong, powerful, and fearless. This profound resilience is exactly what we see in action right now, not only on the island but within the Jamaican community here at home supporting their loved ones.

To everyone with personal ties to Jamaica: our hearts are with you as you navigate the uncertainty and worry caused by the recent hurricane. As an organization built on compassionate care and community belonging, Arden Courts understands the importance of support during trying times. May 21st, was an awesome day to come together and show our support for the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Information was shared on the impact of Alzheimer's and other dementias in the workplace. I had the opportunity to share my personal story. I have spent my entire career working with Memory loss and it now has hit home. This was the hardest topic I have ever had to discuss. We know, and we care. If you have witnessed changes in your loved one please reach out for help. MEET THE TEAM!

Donna joined Arden Courts of Seminole in 2012, She received her MBA and certification in Gerontology from the University of Phoenix in 2010. She has worked in the Senior community since 1984. Donna will advocate for what is right for the community. She wants to see the best possible outcomes for the caregivers and their loved ones. Please giver her a call with questions.

Trilogy Home Healthcare and Tracie Schumm, visited Arden Courts of Seminole and brought with them plants for the Garden area. The team at Arden Courts gathered the residents that love to do gardening and they assisted Tracie and Heather with planting the flowers.

Brent joined out team in 2015, Prior to joining us he worked with HCR Manor Care skilled care. Brent spends his days keeping our community comfortable and safe while interacting with the residents to ensure that they are happy.

Meet our Team! Bernadette Homan- Business Development Specialist

We would like to introduce you to the team here at Arden Courts of Seminole. Bernadette came to Arden Courts in 2001 with a degree Bachelor in Social Work. She has worked in Senior healthcare since 1990. Bernadette grew up in Brooklynn and then transitioned from Long Island to Florida. Where her passion to serve the community is an inspiration to all that she comes in contact with. She goes above and beyond to ensure that her family, friends and community partners have all the help that they need.
