All Trades - HVAC, Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters etc. pay increases. Exception to the rule - Healthcare reimbursement decreases. With the proposed 3.36% Medicare pay cut shows why overhaul is needed. The cost of practicing medicine will rise 4.5%, yet physician pay is set to fall.

The crazy thing is most patient's have no clue that their physicians are being paid less currently then they were 20 years ago. It is this disconnect that plays into patients wondering why U.S, healthcare service is declining.

It is two fold - 1) Decreased reimbursement 2) And the fact that most physicians are employees compared to being entrepreneurs a mere 2 decades ago. As employees most get paid the same for seeing patients or not. So one might wonder how or why this impacts healthcare; However it is simple when you remove incentive to work you are grooming a more lazy mentality. Thus patient experience longer wait time obtaining appointments.

Real problem lies in apathetic/lackadaisical politicians, and the over paid unnecessary middle man INSURANCE COMPANIES. Both are mainly concerned in lining their own pockets.

One could have a knee jerk reaction and say cash practice, and that might be required to wake up insurance companies and patients.
Another fix is for all professions reimbursements increase at least as much as the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

High levels of vitamin D in the brain may be associated with an increased risk of Alzheimer disease and dementia-related cognitive decline in community-dwelling older adults, according to the results of a recent study.

Prior studies have resulted in mixed findings on the relationship between vitamin D intake and cognitive impairment. The authors of this study aimed to further examine this relationship by focusing on 25(OH)D3 levels, the main circulating form of vitamin D in the brain, as well as other various markers of vitamin D status in the brain and the impact that 25(OH)D concentrations may have on post-mortem neuropathology.

To better understand the relationship between nutritional status and cognitive decline, the researchers examined the impact of vitamin D levels on the risk of Alzheimer disease and dementia in older adults.

The prevalence of food allergies and several other chronic inflammatory diseases has increased dramatically over the past few decades. At the same time, research in the area has increasingly linked these problems to lack of a healthy microbiome, especially in the gut.

Some of the bacteria in the gut microbiome produce metabolites that foster the growth of beneficial bacteria and maintain the lining of the gut. One such metabolite is butyrate, which has been shown to play a role in allergic reactions.
