We love Lauren and Main Street Yoga!

Today I turn 40 💫

Since about the age of 11, I have not enjoyed my birthday. I dread the passage of time, the slipping by of years, the end of chapters. I do find value, interest and importance in the day I was born and identify whole-heartedly with my sun and moon signs. But most years, my birthday has just felt like another year gone in this beautiful life that I love living. It leaves me sad, like something good has ended.
This year is different! Call it old lady wisdom or mindset growth, but I feel nothing but joy and gratitude. I just simply love the gift of getting to live. To get the honor of experiencing this beautiful world, the beauty of connection, friendship and love, the beauty of motherhood, the beauty of strength, the beauty of wisdom, the beauty of perseverance and the beauty of growth makes for a life well lived. My wish for myself this year is to keep seeing each of these beautiful things everyday...because they are there...everyday. This isn’t an ending, if anything, I’m just beginning. 💕✨💕

This time of year is hard for small theaters across America. It's the time of year that movie studios release films and limit their availability to urban markets or theaters with lots of screens. Strother Cinema struggles every year at this time to present movies that are fresh and relevant to as many people as possible. We've always been able to find something that would attract customers and provide a range of ratings. But this year has been different. In our efforts to keep our movie lineup as fresh and relevant as possible in this time of limited product, we have found ourselves unable to find a film that we have not shown already during the summer. So we are choosing to do something we've never done before and that is run "R" rated films on both screens this week only. "Rambo: Last Blood" will premiere nationwide the same day as it opens at Strother Cinema and "IT: Chapter Two" will continue it's successful run for one more week. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Hi there. I’m Lauren. I’m the owner and instructor at Main Street Yoga and here’s what I want you to know. You do NOT have to be flexible, strong, in shape or zen to try our classes. You will not stand on your head, put your legs in a pretzel or anything that scares the crap out of you. Our classes are all about making you feel LESS stress than life makes you feel. They are about building your confidence up, not shattering it to pieces. Most importantly they are for everyone and everyBODY. If you’ve been thinking about trying yoga, or feel overwhelmed with stress, or are lacking confidence and self-worth, or have been told by a doctor to try yoga then join us! You are so worth it! So, get out of your head and onto your mat with us Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 pm.
