We hope you all have a wonderful day filled with good food, laughter, and time with the people you love most.

As you celebrate, here are a few quick Thanksgiving Safety Tips to help keep the holiday joyful and accident-free:

🦃 Cooking Safety:
• Never leave the stove or oven unattended.
• Keep kids and pets away from hot surfaces and sharp objects.

🔥 Fryer Safety:
• Always fry your turkey outdoors, on level ground, away from structures.
• Make sure the turkey is completely thawed to avoid flare-ups.
• Never leave a fryer unattended
• Have a fire extinguisher nearby—just in case.

🚗 Travel Safety:
• Buckle up every trip, every time.
• Don’t drink and drive—use a designated driver or ride service.
• Watch for increased traffic and give yourself extra travel time.

🔥🦃 **Turkey Smoking Day is Here!** 🦃🔥

Today’s the day, folks — we’re firing up the smokers! For everyone who ordered a turkey, keep your phone close!

We’ll be smoking in ** one batch** — **they will be ready between 12:00-3:00**.

We’ll give you a call as soon as your turkey is ready for pickup.

Please note: **we do not have any extra turkeys this year!**

Thank you for supporting the **Seminole EMT Volunteer Association!** This amazing group continues to help **Seminole EMS** with staffing and purchasing needed equipment when the budget doesn’t allow. We’re so thankful for their ongoing partnership and support.

The crews traded trauma shears for carving knives this week and things got *a little* competitive! Each shift has carved up their best **EMS-style** masterpiece, and now it’s YOUR turn to pick the winner!

🚑 Exciting Update for Texas EMS!

Texas EMS providers are now required to place a patient wristband on every transported patient. These wristbands can be scanned through Pulsara, allowing for real-time patient tracking and improved continuity of care across all healthcare providers.

This is another huge step forward in streamlining communication, improving outcomes, and ensuring every patient’s journey through the healthcare system is connected.

💪 It’s amazing to see how far EMS has come — from paper charts to cutting-edge digital tracking!

**🚑 Seminole EMS Initial EMT Course – Coming November 2025! 🚑**

Seminole EMS will be hosting an **Initial EMT Certification Course** beginning **November 10, 2025**.

📍 **Location: Seminole EMS Station
🕕 **Class Schedule: Thursday evenings from **6:00 PM – 10:00 PM**
📅 Includes **one Monday evening** and **three Saturday sessions** (schedule provided at orientation).

💰 **Cost:** To be announced soon *(pending grant approval)*

**Important Dates:**

* 🧠 **Entry Exam:** October 27, 2025 – must pass to be accepted into the course
* 📋 Orientation: November 3, 2025
* 📚 Class Start: November 10, 2025
