Music can be an easy coping strategy to use because most of us have our phone handy with our favorite music, meditation, or soothing sounds at the ready. We are naturally creative beings, and in my opinion, we do not get enough time to create things in our life. It can be art, stories, baked goods, woodworking, gardening, or moments. There are many ways to create something in your life. Sometimes it's hard to create something, especially if we worry if it will not "look good." That's the beauty in creating things, it does not have to be "good." Drop the "good" and honor the "mess" and the process.

Full disclosure, I have many "doom piles." I am constantly creating piles of different things fully expecting to come back to them and sort/organize them. These piles can be paper, mail, books, etc.

Suggestions when decluttering:
💚 Set a timer
💚 One room or one location at a time
💚 If you get overwhelmed, take a break

Diaphragmatic breathing, AKA belly breathing, is a relaxation technique which encourages people to take deep breaths with their diaphragm and abdominal muscles. This type of breathing takes time and practice to get he best benefits. Behavioral Activation is a skill based in the therapeutic modality of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). This is a list where you write down activities you find rewarding (0 not rewarding, 10 very rewarding) with how easy they are to complete (0 not easy, 10 very easy) . For example, taking a walk is a fairly easy activity to complete, but it may not always be very rewarding.
