On behalf of Magdalene Clinic Oconee, we’re posting to invite you to an exciting event, hosted by MCO and presented by the SC Office for Rural Health. The event seeks to raise awareness of the challenges faced by people living with mental health conditions. If you haven’t heard of MCO, it is a prenatal clinic for women with substance use and seeks to provide a a safe, non-judgmental, loving space for those women to seek prenatal care.

We're organizing a behavioral health simulation, where participants will experience firsthand the obstacles individuals encounter when seeking mental health treatment. If you’ve ever done a poverty simulation, it is a very similar concept but with a behavioral health focus. The event will be June 26th from 1:30-4 pm at Seneca High School. Snacks, promotional material, and giveaways will be provided.

Join us for free lunch and learn what community resources are available to help you or your family on the path to substance use recovery. Giveaways and raffles included! We plan to have representatives from Magdalene Clinic, Starlight at Tamassee, FAVOR, Child Life, Oconee Memorial Family Birthplace, SNAP/TANF, Foothills, and more.
