About

Welcome! I'm glad you've found your way here. I'm looking forward in sharing all of the new and exciting things happening at Thrive Counseling and Wellness, LLC. I wanted to share a little bit about myself. My background includes earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Communication Studies from Clemson University in 2001. That same year, I married my husband and we moved into our first home in Seneca, SC. I received my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2011. My husband and I completed our family with our first son born in 2011 followed by our second son in 2015.

I am licensed with the State of South Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor and have experience working in a community agency in a variety of different settings working with children, adolescents and adult patients both in individual and family therapy. I have had the privilege of working collaboratively with my clients on issues surrounding depression, life transitions, grief and loss, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem issues, personal growth, professional development, anxiety and trauma including physical and sexual abuse and PTSD.

I work from a person-centered approach, understanding that we each come with our own strengths and challenges. I offer a collaborative approach and encouraging space utilizing techniques from a variety of theoretical frameworks including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy, an evidenced-based treatment for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.

Outside of the counseling office, I enjoy spending my free time with my family, usually on the lake or cheering on our Clemson Tigers!
