Good morning! Starting October 1st, we will add a $1.50 fee to your bill if we have to bill you for TOS fees (time of service fees) and known co-pays. TOS fees are a courtesy to our patients. They are a reduced fee for services for patients that have no insurance or a high deductible. This keeps chiropractic care affordable and accessible. However, they are expected to be paid on the day the service was provided--hence the name--time of service fees. We will make exceptions if you have more than one appointment in a week or you have appointments in back to back weeks. If we know your co-pay, we will also expect that payment on the day of service. For new patients or for changes in insurance, oftentimes, we don't know what your co-pay will be until we submit to your insurance. In those instances, we will not add a service charge to your bill. The cost of stamps has become ridiculous, and I'm having a hard time justifying $300-$400/month on stamps when patients can pay their bills when they are in the office. I have received statements from 5 of my own billers stating that they will no longer send out a paper bill, and I will either have to remember to pay online or they will send me a bill via email that I then have to print and submit. So I know I'm not the only one alarmed by the cost of postage these days. If you have any questions, please contact our office. As always, thanks for your understanding and attention. Just a reminder that we will be seeing patients Wednesday afternoons instead of Thursday afternoons starting this week!! This way,

Good morning! I just went to the post office to mail an item to insurance and realized postage is increasing again—$0.78/stamp! This might not seem wild to you, but it adds up FAST in our office—especially when we send out monthly bills and HICFAA’s! We also pay to submit electronic claims, so nothing is free! We’d really, really appreciate it if you can pay your co-pay and your Time Of Service fees on the day that you are in!! It saves us so much in unnecessary postage. Good morning! I’m excited to announce that come July, I will be offering new services at the office. Stephanie Jones, a registered nurse anesthetist will be coming to my office every 6-8 weeks to provide trigger point injections, botox injections for TMJ and associated headaches, cosmetic botox and cosmetic filler. Stephanie has worked in cardiology, obstetrics and, currently, orthodontics for over 20 years. She has undergone specialized training to become qualified to administer these procedures. She is vastly experienced and highly professional. She will put you at ease about anything you need or want done. These procedures will be done on days the office is closed, so no staff or chiropractic patients will be present. Discretion is our priority. Well, we definitely know when it’s planting season in the office. We go from being so busy, we don’t know where to put people, to we have 7 openings today! 😂. We don’t treat just farmers, but I think everyone is busy by association. Good morning! I feel compelled to put this message out there as I’ve been privy to what I would call underhanded tactics by fellow chiropractors as of late. (Not Dr Haug) Let me be clear. My goal is and always will be to help my patients feel better and improve their quality of life through chiropractic manipulation and therapy, along with education on core and postural stretch/strength exercises, proper lifting, lifestyle changes, and nutitional counseling. It is not my goal to make you a lifelong patient. In fact, I would prefer to teach you how to maintain a healthy neck and back once you leave my office, so I dont have to see you all the time. For those patients with chronic conditions, significant osteoarthritis, and autoimmune arthritic conditions, I sometimes recommend maintenance chiropractic care vs taking narcotics, NSAIDS, and other pain medications in order to reduce pain. I will still continue to lecture you on the importance of strengthening and stretching as well as lifestyle changes. For my patients that know me, they will confirm this is how I operate. I will never stoop to dirty practices to get someone in my office. I’m never so desperate for business or so self serving that I wouldn’t refer a patient out when I know I can’t help them, or they need more diagnostics than I can provide. I care about you and will only do what is in your best interests—ALWAYS. ~Kristina
