Now Hiring: Mental Health Counselor – Jamestown Healing Clinic 🧠💙
Make a meaningful impact in your community by joining Jamestown Healing Clinic’s integrated care team. We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Counselor to provide assessment, counseling, case management, and crisis intervention services. In this role, you’ll support patients through individual and group therapy while working alongside a collaborative team offering primary care, dental, behavioral health, and opioid use disorder treatment.
This is a full-time opportunity (40 hours/week) with schedule options of Monday–Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or Monday–Friday 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
💙What You’ll Do:
* Works with a multidisciplinary treatment team to identify and meet patient needs through the treatment planning process
* Conducts intake assessments, completes documentation, and provides diagnoses using the DSM-5
* Provides individual, family, and group therapy for co-occurring disorders
* Develops treatment plans for patients with dual diagnoses
* Maintains timely and accurate documentation including treatment goals, crisis plans, and progress notes
* Facilitates psychoeducational and ongoing therapy groups
* Adheres to all JHC policies and procedures, including safety standards and HIPAA
* Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
💙What You’ll Bring:
* Master’s degree in a mental health discipline
* LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, LMFTA, LASW, or LICSW with unrestricted Washington State license
* Minimum of two (2) years of mental health treatment experience
* Strong knowledge of behavioral health, psychological research methods, and treatment practices
* Experience working with substance use disorders and ability to apply harm-reduction strategies
* Understanding of cross-cultural care, trauma-informed practices, and confidentiality regulations (42 CFR Part 2)
* Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to pass a background check and meet vaccine requirements
* CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to travel locally
* Valid Washington State driver’s license
💙Preferred Qualifications
*Knowledge of administrative operations, personnel management, and compliance
*Experience working with dually diagnosed patients
*Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
*SUDP and LMHC state license preferred.
*Experience working with dual diagnoses and comfortable with the ASAM assessment.
