Wow! It is crazy to glance at the stats at the end of the year. In the past 5 years, my practice has grown to 500+ clients (revolving), but in 2025 alone, I served 108 clients/families. These numbers do not count corporate and school counseling contracts or consulting meetings to help other therapist grow their practice that I provide in between typical counseling practice work. Thank you to everyone in Iowa and South Dakota who put their trust in me for their mental health or their business. It is a pleasure to serve and I never, in my wildest dreams, thought my practice would develop this much in just a few years. Praise the Lord.
Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond will be a lot of the same; however, my wife is now in graduate school to become a mental health therapist in hopes to join RCC one day. Prayers for her are appreciated and she begins her professional journey :)

I am honored to be invited into your life and am glad you are taking necessary steps to work through your concerns. I work best with teens, young adults, adults, and geriatric folks going through life transitions who simply need to process with someone outside of their normal family and social circles. Anyone can benefit from counseling. There is something unique about being able to share personal thoughts and feelings in a safe space. You will feel both welcomed and challenged.
My personality is relaxed, professional, approachable, and somewhat nerdy. I enjoy underground indie rock, playing music, cooking (especially BBQ), comics, painting, real estate, woodworking, my family, my church, & Jesus! I earned two bachelor’s degrees at the University of Sioux Falls in Theology and Fine Art and went on to graduate school at Emporia State University to receive a master’s degree in both Clinical Counseling and Art Therapy. I am a trauma specialist certified in TF-CBT and certified in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
I specialize in young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relational and communication problems, & life adjustments. I offer art therapy and counseling from a Christian perspective based on biblical theology. I have been trained in trauma and am comfortable navigating darker client histories. I don't use workbooks, instead, I let clients bring in their own goals and content to discuss and process with them in a holistic, person-centered way.
I am offering counseling via Telehealth (online) or Walk & Talk therapy. I accept BlueCross, Optum/UHC, and Avera and also accept out-of-network billing or private pay. Telehealth has been a great way for clients to receive services during COVID-19 or when scheduling and traveling is difficult. Walk & Talk therapy is a method of therapy which takes place on hiking trails or parks and is private pay only. I am proud to offer a higher-level service like Walk and Talk to the Siouxland area. I also offer consulting services upon request.
