Ever heard of biological age?
It’s the idea that your body and cells can be aging faster or slower than your actual age.
Think of it like this: we all know smoking can speed up aging.
But a new study shows that a poor diet can, too—even in your 20s.
🧬 Researchers studied twins aged 20–25 and found:
🥦 Diets high in fruits and veggies = slower biological aging
🍔 Diets high in fast food, red meat, and sugary drinks = faster biological aging
They used something called “epigenetic clocks”—a way to measure cellular aging.
And even after factoring in exercise, weight, and smoking… diet still made a big impact.
✨ This reminds me why our everyday choices matter—not just for how we feel, but as an act of stewardship.
Taking care of your health isn’t about chasing youth or perfection.
It’s about stewarding the gift God gave you—your body—so you can serve well, live well, and show up for the life He’s called you to.
So yes, I’ll keep encouraging more fruits and veggies 😉
Because it’s about so much more than food—it’s about faith-led wellness that lasts.
