Alliance Health Education Initiative

AHEI is a 501(c)(3) public charity for health education-oriented groups interested in seeking grants to help fund health projects within their communities.

AHEI also welcomes donations to help us help others. Donations to AHEI are tax-deductible. Funds raised are distributed annually in the form of grants, which you can read more about on our website. To date, AHEI has awarded close to $40,000 in grants to health related nonprofits across the country.

The AHEI Board of Trustees and Volunteers sadly announce the loss of our dear friend, Rosemary Xavier.
Rosemary passed away on March 12, peacefully surrounded by her family.
Rosemary devoted countless hours of service to the medical alliance community throughout her lifetime. She served as President of the Florida Medical Association Alliance and later as President of the American Medical Association Alliance, and most recently, she served as a board member and treasurer of AHEI.
Rosemary deeply believed in the strength of the medical family and worked tirelessly to enhance healthcare and health education across the nation.
Her influence will be felt for years to come as we carry forward the vision and values she helped instill through a health grant in her honor.

🦋When communities come together,
meaningful change happens.

In 2018, the Green County Medical Society Alliance
brought education directly to their neighbors
at the Greenville Saturday Market through their
“Booth for a Cause.”

Alliance volunteers distributed medication disposal pouches, helping families safely discard unused medications — protecting both the environment and the community.

They also raised awareness about the opioid epidemic.

🌿 Bringing Vision Within Reach

In 2025, the Erie, Pennsylvania Mobile Retina Clinic received an AHEI Grant for its “Access for All” initiative — expanding vision care to individuals unable to obtain routine eye services.

Because protecting sight protects independence, dignity, and quality of life.
