I've been working with Michael Morgan of Upledger Institute Longevity Specialist and the Amen University group have been chatting a lot with them about the connection of menopause and dementia/alzheimers diagnosis.
There's my line of thought- more women are diagnosed with demetia/alzheimers, hormones are way more complexed and go through many more stages in a woman body throughout her life cycle (mensis, child birth etc).
We talk about the body “aging” (as in starting to fail in certain ways) but let's also add the damage that happens to our body, stress, trauma, emotional and physical. We don't all decline the same. We don't all have heart issues, memory issues, back pain or other areas. Those forces that happen cause blockages and hormone shifts and flat out fluid flow shifts due to structural shifts or restrictions.
Now let's look at this study
HOW EXCITING AND PLEASE REPOST AND SCREAM IT FROM THE ROOF TOP LADIES! Don't let this get swept under your carpet (pun intended 🤣) it needs to be heard.
This article talks about hormones, menopause and “alzheimers like” symptoms! Grey matter flow etc. While reading the article attached, consider a concussion restricting flow and even changing the cell make up when the cells are damaged.
Below read a story too often happening with women being misdiagnosed and how easily this can happen to you or a loved one.
Personal experience with JUST my mom. Not my other adult women figures in my life
I cannot begin to tell you how my mother was diagnosed with alzheimers from a 30 something year old neurologist (who had never heard of Dr Amen 😳😱) did a 7 min test with about 7 questions “diagnosed” my mom with alzheimers in 15 mins and with his heart felt concern while standing over her moving close to her face and said “it's about THAT time in you life Ms Krause, most people your age have some form of dementia” ‼️⁉️ WTF We waited 6 months for this and all he did was order a scan then to see her in another 6 months to read the scan that we got within a day.
Let me mention here that I'd taken my mom to Amen Clinics for a brain scan6 months before for a aspect scan when the onset of issues occurred and the Amen Clinic got her started right away with a plan (in their defense my mother fought me tooth and nail on any suggestions (the biggest one was “leave your partner and get new housing “.
Her spect scan presented with pressure on her amydala which I'd noticed often when doing craniosa ral therapy with her (it was improving) from a head trauma when she was around 6 years old, now 83 years old. She has anger issues, memory issues when stressed or eats certain foods and has been gaining weight since with her boyfriend of 12 years and become more sedentary while living with him. Btw she’s ALWAYS been “absent minded” from as long as I remember and she’ll tell you this when she’s not in a pissy mood, which isn’t that often, one other sign of post concussion that has gone untreated.
This was all explained to the neurologist wjo seemed to be annoyed with the more detailed history and didn't take my paper where i had this written to put in her file.
I asked him “what do we do in the meantime?”
Him “Nothing you can do, just wait and get the tests”
He didn't look at her spect scans either. Which look really healthy for a women her age with no signs of alzheimers but that wasn't his interest 😢
So anyhoo, for now, ladies and to the men who love you, please share this so that YOU can have more information to not get misdiagnosed because there is a second part to this article but this is a good start.
If you’d like more information you can reach out to me because I’ve been through the hammer, I’m living this world AND I’m also in the field so I have a birdseye view and can help get you what you need

Menopause is linked to a loss of grey matter in regions involved with memory and emotion, study suggests.
