My name is Susan Flemming. I graduated from University of Maryland at Baltimore with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 1996. Good Samaritan Hospital gave me a broad exposure to total hip and knee replacements, orthopedic injuries, strokes, parkinsons disease, and various muscular disorders. I also did wound care and worked with subacute rehab there. My experience at Ginger Cove and Riverview
Nursing Home, in addition to various other Assisted Living facilities gave me a heart for the geriatric population. I understand the need for gentle, specific care for each individual. Through working for Home Call and Rehabilitation Therapy Services, I provided home care services to individuals throughout Anne Arundel County, parts of Baltimore and Dundalk. I also provided pediatric care at Central Special School and private homes. Each patient was given the opportunity to express his/her struggles, goals, and plans for his/her recovery. My outpatient experience includes, Glen Burnie Physical Therapy, Premier Action Therapy, BWMC and an outpatient Clinic in North Carolina, I became convinced that the most desirable treatment program was provided by listening to the patient and giving them specialized treatment. It became obvious to me that I wanted to provide quality care without treating multiple patients at one time. My desire is to provide one-on one treatment in a comfortable environment where each client can express his concerns, while he/she works together with the therapist to attain his/her personal goals to attain a better quality of life with improved function and less pain.
