Where Hope and Healing begin...Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center of the Smokies is dedicated to serving children who are victims of severe neglect, physical and sexual abuse through prevention, education and intervention. We conduct forensic interviews in a child-friendly, comfortable setting so the child can feel at home and relaxed while he or she shares their story. We also provide free therapy
for the child so that he or she has a strong professional support system with caring, qualified people to help them heal through the trauma of abuse. Every child is valued, and we do all that we can to provide support and various services to make healing for the child attainable. Safe Harbor also shadows the child and non-offending caregiver through any legal proceedings, providing court support as may be required. Safe Harbor also offers a 10-week educational support group for the parent/non-offending caregiver at our satellite office in Cocke County.
