🌿 REAL TALK FROM MY HEALTH JOURNEY 🌿
Because someone needs this today…
This past year has brought some heavy mental battles — depression, anxiety, and waves of paranoia that felt like they came out of nowhere. And I’m sharing this because mental health IS part of your wellness journey, and too many women walk through it alone.
People see the weight loss…
but they don’t see the war behind my eyes.
Even after losing 176 pounds, I still have days where the mirror reflects my old 520-pound self. And with lipedema + lymphedema adding 30… 40… even 100 pounds of fluid without warning, confidence can crumble fast. Some days, I walk into a room and feel like everyone’s staring at my legs, my skin, my shape, my imperfections.
Maybe they are, maybe they aren’t — but the feeling is real.
And I know I’m not the only one who feels this.
❗ Some days the scale won’t budge.
❗ Some days it moves, but your mind won’t celebrate.
❗ Some days your heart is just tired.
Hear me: You are still worthy. You are still capable. You are still an overcomer.
Some days require grit.
Other days require sitting with the feelings and letting God speak into the quiet.
Both are holy. Both are part of healing.
And when I finally couldn’t pretend anymore, I looked my doctor in the eyes and said,
“Hey, I need something to help me get over the hump.”
That took more strength than suffering silently ever did.
If you’re there right now, please listen:
There is ZERO shame in getting help.
ZERO shame in talking to someone.
ZERO shame in caring for your mind like you care for your body.
Whether it’s:
💛 Therapy
💛 A support group
💛 Your church community
💛 The 3G Health family
💛 Or a conversation with your doctor
— you do NOT have to do this alone.
And if no one has told you today:
I’m proud of you. I’m praying for you. Keep going.
A little bit of love and a whole lot of Jesus can change everything. 🤍
