In my classes, yes, we move through yoga poses. But I also weave in sound, breath work, mindful awareness, and inner self-work. This morning, while laying in bed, I found myself smiling about the new Fall Classes coming up. I’m so excited — 2 NEW classes added... new themes, new flows, & a whole lot of new students.

I love how different each class feels. On Mondays I have a flow class for those who want to move, stretch, and sweat a little. And Fridays Restorative is all about letting go completely and ending your week in peace. And right in the middle is Wednesdays DeStress — the perfect mix of movement + deep relaxation.

It has been 19 years since I started teaching and I still have that same “back-to-school” excitement, like a little kid who can’t wait for what’s next.

Tip #2 – Hydration (If You Don’t Want the Waterpack)

Long before my waterpack, I always kept spill-proof cups with straws at my desk, in my car, and by my bedside table. When I’m sitting between clients or stopping to do something quick on the computer, it’s easy to get some sips in.

At night, when I’m reading in bed, I make sure to drink.
And whenever I’m stopped at a light or on a long drive, I get my sips in too.

I still keep spill-proof cups all over my house — it just makes hydration effortless. Tomorrow I’ll share my go-to brands for both my waterpack and my favorite bottles.

Tip #1 Stay Hydrated 💧

Get yourself a water backpack! I use a 3-liter, easy-fill pack, and whenever I’m not working with clients, I have it on. It makes it so easy for me to drink the full 3 liters every day.

I wear it for my walks, which is the typical usage for many. But I also have it on when cleaning, cooking, doing paperwork, and housework. And especially when I am on the computer- hands free convenient access to water!

I’ve been using mine for over 12 years, and my skin always looks great, I feel super hydrated, and it even helps curb overeating when the pack is on.

I was thinking today about how much I truly love my Reiki & Meditation practice. Not only do I look forward to having that special time alone with myself, but it really is daily fuel for my mind, my mood, and my life.

We often compare food to fuel for the body, but what about fuel for the whole of life? All the areas and sectors?
I know when I give myself my 1–2 hours a day of healthy, supportive mind & energy work, I’m feeding my higher self—fueling my love, joy, and peace reserves so they last all day.

I understand how daunting it can seem to take those new steps into uncharted territory. Honestly, it wasn’t until I got attuned to Reiki that my daily practice became so truly nourishing. So if you’re struggling to start or stick with it, I get it.
