🍁 Parent–teacher conferences are happening this month, and if your child has an IEP, this is an important time to connect with the school team.

Here are 7 questions to ask at your conference to make sure you walk away with the information you need:
1. Are there particular subjects or routines where my child is thriving or struggling?
2. How often does my child participate in general education activities?
3. How does my child interact with peers, and how are social skills being addressed?
4. How are services coordinated with the classroom schedule?
5. Are there safety considerations I should be aware of during the school day?
6. How is my child progressing toward their IEP goals?
7. What can I do at home to support my child’s IEP goals?

✨ Advocacy Tip: Bring these questions (and a notebook!) with you. Taking notes helps you stay organized and follow up effectively.

If you’d like more personalized guidance before your conference, I offer free 20-minute consultations where we can talk through your child’s needs and see if working together feels like the right fit. Message me to schedule!
