Back-to-School Night is always exciting, but here’s the truth: it’s not the time for specific IEP questions. Teachers can only answer general questions in that setting.

To make the night as productive as possible, try asking:
1️⃣What does the classroom schedule look like?
2️⃣What curriculum or programs will be used in the classroom this year?
3️⃣What’s your approach to building classroom community & supporting students socially?

These questions give you helpful context for how the classroom runs, and you can follow up later with your child’s teacher or IEP team for more individual concerns.
