Incoming 2026-27 President Michelle Gilliland and Executive Director Lou Ann Leary recently attended the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) CEO Symposium in Naples, FL. The two-day event sparked great conversations around the challenges association leaders face and what it takes to build strong governance, strategy, and organizations. They also had the chance to network with leaders from organizations similar to ANNA, and enjoyed catching up over dinner with incoming National Treasurer Jennifer Vavrinchik, who lives in South Florida.

This is an invitation to all ANNA members to include their special memory of an ANNA member who has passed away!

This heartfelt tradition commenced at the April 2024 National Symposium and will be upheld each year. A dedicated table in the registration area will feature the memory book and a continuous video loop showcasing the shared reminiscences. The deadline to submit for the 2026 symposium is April 3, 2026.

Today is International Day of Epidemic Preparedness. The day was called for by the UN on December 27, 2020 to advocate the importance of prevention & need for preparedness against epidemics. COVID-19 took a heavy toll on the world, but especially on healthcare workers. Today acts as a reminder to stay vigilant in the fight for global health.

There are opportunities to make a difference in someone’s life starting with providing chronic kidney disease prevention education to a child or young adult to establishing a deeper nurse-patient relationship through years of treatments at a chronic dialysis clinic."

Deadline approaching! ANNA’s 3rd Annual Art Contest is closing on December 31, 2025. The winner will receive free registration to ANNA’s 2026 National Symposium in New Orleans, LA!

Your art must include specific kidney care related themes, and a brief caption describing the inspiration for your art, or how it is tied to kidney care. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
