What a great group tonight! It was filled with laughter, love, truths, education, family, friends, and of course a GRADUATION!!! This graduation was super special to us, personally. This guy came in scared, confused, and full of apprehension. He has done an amazing job being supportive to others in group and he's certainly made us proud. He did EVERYTHING that was asked of him without hesitation or arguments and that big, tough guy has found something precious, it's called RECOVERY.

We are starting to wind down our week with a graduation. This guy is one of the sweetest, most polite and caring people that has ever gone through our program. He discovered that although he was not an addict, he was very close to stepping into the life of an addict. He has made significant progress in his journey and found out the difference from a true friendship and that of an acquaintance. Congratulations man! We're so proud of hard work and dedication that you had during this self-discovery journey.

I'm absolutely thrilled to have been at this graduation. Tonight was special for him because he has had a long journey to get here. He's endured a lot, lost a lot but he now knows that he does not have to keep using to hide from his pain. He has kept an open mind, has done everything that we've asked of him, he's working, has a roof over his head, building relationships that were damaged by addiction in the past, going to meetings, and now he's officially a graduate!!!

Yesterday I got to witness something completed that take at least 18 months to get through and that's if you do everything right. That is exactly what this guy did. He completed and graduated Jackson County Drug Court! I have seen so much growth in this guy and I'm so very proud to be a part of his treatment team. Congratulations!!!
