Shortly after his walk, he crawled into his crib (yes, a crib because he's my baby) and is still enjoying a little rest. I would never wake him up and make him go play, not give him any food or treats and allow minimal water, so why do we do this as humans?!?!?

You're allowed to rest, eat foods that sound good and enjoy some quiet time.

Jennifer and I started working together three weeks ago. We meet two days a week for PT and one day a week in my office. Rarely do I combine both programs at that same time but because everything is individualized we felt confident in the process. Our in office sessions are extremely hard but getting through rough workouts when your mind is filled with so much self-doubt is another kind of hard. Half way through Jen leaned against the wall and had a moment. We talked her through it, switched up the music and she finished with such conviction. I'm so proud of her effort and dedication because we all know how easy it is to quit. People always ask me if the workouts get easier and I always say....Not if you do it right😘🩷👊

It's never too late for you to begin honoring your body with movement and learning how to lead a life filled with purpose and intent.

One year ago I received a phone call from Sarah wanting to take control of her health. We debated on whether or not to start her in my office or gym, so we did both. Throughout the year her life changed. School kicked backed up and life brought many challenges that made Sarah question her worth and strength to push through.

It's normal to have self-doubt when facing change and this woman worked incredibly hard to grow as a person, wife, mother, teacher and God's child.

We switched up her programming because, just like life, her body was changing too. We focused more on strength training and less high intensity workouts. Her body felt better and her muscles EXPLODED. It's important to meet your body where it's at and listen. Actually listen to the messages it's sending you and respond with respect and honor.

Today, this strong, powerful woman picks up a barbell with such conviction she inspires me and everyone around her. Happy One Year Anniversary Sarah!! Im incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication to your mental and physical health! All My Love🩷🎉👊

PS, she hasn't given me the death look in many months so I'd say I'm winning too😘

I always say cupping is like K-Tape on steroids. I cup my boys on a weekly basis (while in season) to help speed up recovery to sore or injured muscles. I keep them on for 5-7 minutes, depending on discomfort level.

Are you recovering from your workouts? Have you checked in with your nutrition to make sure you're getting everything your body needs? Are you sleeping? Hydrating? Resting? These are all the boring things you have to get good at to honor and respect your body for doing hard things for you.💜💙👊💪
