Parents of High School and College Students: Vicar Max Johnston is hosting a free workshop April 12th 2-4pm Immanuel Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall for parents of high school and college students. It is an observed phenomenon across the Christian church that the transition between high school and college is a marked drop off in church attendance and participation. The goal of this event is to provide concrete resources and information to help parents foster and encourage their child's faith as they transition and move into young adult independence. The event will consist of a presentation on developmental stages of high school and college aged students from counselor and Deaconess Michelle Downey, a sharing of resources on tangible steps that can be taken led by Vicar, and a Q&A with a panel of older parents and recent students. No registration required.
