In fact, caring deeply about your work is often a risk factor for burnout, not a shield against it. When you love what you do, whether you are a teacher, a nurse, a parent, or a creative, it is harder to turn off. You ignore the signs of exhaustion because the mission feels important.

We tell ourselves, "If I just manage every detail, everyone’s emotions, and every outcome, I will be safe." But this doesn't create safety; it creates burnout.

Boundaries can sometimes be an antidote. When you set a boundary, you are accepting that you cannot control how others feel or react, but you can control what you participate in. When it comes to our children, "Support early, support gently" is the ultimate act of love. 🌱

Supporting early changes the trajectory. It turns a struggle into a skill. It prevents a temporary challenge from becoming a permanent label.

And supporting gently ensures that the intervention doesn't become a source of shame. It tells the child, "We are on your team, and we are going to figure this out together." It removes the fear and replaces it with curiosity and connection.

Let’s get one thing clear: You are not a broken object waiting to be repaired. 🚫🔧

The language of "fixing" implies that there is something fundamentally wrong with who you are. That is not how I view my patients, and it is not how I view mental health care.

My role isn't to change you into a different person; it is to remove the barriers that are keeping you from being your person. It’s about clearing the fog of depression, lowering the volume of anxiety, and stabilizing the mood so you can actually enjoy your life.
