Prairie Crossing is nestled in the peaceful countryside of DeKalb County near the beautiful Shabbona State Park and Shabbona Lake. Each resident has their own apartment with all of the safety features this facility has to offer. There is no reason to worry about the safety of loved ones here. We provide each resident with the compassion and respect we would give our own family members. We provide you with the privacy of having your own apartment, which is designed especially for senior living. You can welcome visitors or spend quiet time relaxing. At Prairie Crossing Supportive Living Veterans Day holds special meaning as we celebrate the men and women among us who have worn our nation’s uniform. Your bravery and sacrifice remind us daily of the true meaning of service.
From all of us here, thank you for protecting the freedoms we cherish. We are deeply grateful for your strength, your example, and your continued presence in our community.

We had such a blast playing shut the box this afternoon. We didn’t get any complete shuts but after one or two try’s we definitely got some! A fun laid back activity after our very busy holiday week 😊🎲

Finally day 5!!!! We had so many cute, funny and very creative costumes!! We would like to thank Indian Creek Elementary School for bringing their fourth graders to do a costume parade this morning! Then in the afternoon we had our party with some other very cute truck or treaters! We had such a fun party with great snacks and very fun games!! Very fun day, happy Halloween 🎃👻

Day 4: cowboy day!!! Today we did our creative day which is where our residents get to pick any craft we have ever done and do it! Of course we had to turn on country music for lunch & our activity! See you tomorrow in our costumes! 😉

Day 3: PAJAMA DAY!!!! Our activity was a crowd favorite, bingo! Almost to the end of the week, we can’t wait for our party!

Day 2 of Halloween week was wear purple! Our activity today was setting up for our party that is on Friday and they did a great job!! Can’t wait to see y’all tomorrow!!

Day 1 of Halloween week! Dress up day was wear orange and activity was a movie day with some popcorn! Stay tuned for the rest of our fun week!!!

We want to give a big thank you to Yolanda for coming and playing some of the most beautiful music on our piano! We enjoyed it so much & already can’t wait for you to come back!!! (We also ended with one of our very own residents playing “you are my sunshine” to end the day!)

Monday morning started off with some exercise, Monday afternoon ended with some 3D pumpkin painting! We had a great Monday & can’t wait to have some more fun tomorrow!

Getting in the Halloween spirit by playing a friendly game of witches hat ring toss!! We had sooo much fun and we did get pretty rowdy when someone finally got the 30 point hat!! What a fun time!
