At St. Francis Regional Medical, a recent grateful patient became a new donor to Saints Foundation.

Our Spirit of Caring award is a fundraising initiative designed to engage patients and families who have experience exceptional care and wish to express their gratitude through philanthropic support. Spirit of Caring fosters meaningful relationships between care team members and patients, transforming appreciation into lasting impact.

Congratulations to Laura Kong and Mauline Ogechi, who were recognized after a patient made their first ever hospital stay with us and became a new donor to Saints Foundation. The patient made this contribution expressing his gratitude for the compassionate care and patience they showed him during this recovery. Their presence brought him comfort and their kindness made each moment more bearable.

We feel so blessed to have spent time with Mary Ann and Willard Pitzner, sharing the impacts they have made at St. Francis Regional Medical Center through their charitable contributions.

Saints Foundation and St. Francis Regional Medical Center Volunteer Services hosted a children's book drive throughout the month of May and collected 1,369 books!

The books were donated to CAP Agency, who will distribute them to kids and families. Thank you to everyone who donated!

Yesterday, Saints Foundation provided annual scholarships through the Culvers of Shakopee Medical Career, Sheridan Hafdal Medical Career and Eileen Dietz Nursing Scholarships.

This year, the Saints Foundation Scholarship Committee selected four individuals to receive these scholarships as they pursue their healthcare education!

Congratulations to our award winners: Jocelyn, Lauren, Olivia, and Nolan (who was unable to attend) - we wish you the best of luck as you continue your education journey!

Throughout the month of May, St. Francis Volunteer Services and Saints Foundation are hosting a children's book drive! They have a goal of collecting 100 children's books, which will be donated to CAP Agency.

You can donate new or gently used books at the Main Entrance Volunteer Desk or at the Legacy Cafe.

Yesterday during Saints Foundation's Planning Council, the group delivered flowers at Benedictine Living Community-Shakopee St. Gertrude's and The Gardens to celebrate May Day! It was such a beautiful, powerful impact for both the residents and those delivering the flowers!

Thank you to Amy & Lori for dropping off Chemo Care Packs for St. Francis Regional Medical Center Cancer Center! Amy & Lori's Bible study group at Grace Church hosted a fellowship night where they packed and prayed over the bags and the patients who will be impacted.

Thank you for thinking of our cancer patients and being a bright light in what can be a difficult time for them!
