St. Francis Care Team Member, Marjean, had the following to share about her memories of St. Francis:
"I had the great opportunity to work at the "Old St Francis Hospital" for 1 year and transition to the "New St Francis Hospital" in 1996 when it was built. I recall many long-term staff members expressing their sadness when it came time to close the doors of the former hospital and move to the new facility.
Our growing community seemed excited to utilize the brand new facility, quickly resulting in the need for more space. It seemed that we were busy in all departments from the onset and never really quit adding on from the time we moved in to the present.
It has been 30 years of expansion, growth and meeting the health care needs of the community and surrounding areas. The main thing that does not change, no matter where the care is administered, is the goal of providing the best care to each and every patient that comes to us looking to meet their health care needs.
For me, it has been a great 31 years working at St Francis Regional Medical Center. Thanks for the Memories!"
