Volunteers from The Chic Influence Company and Sundance Rentals joined us for the United Way Emerald Coast Days of Caring Projects! They helped us beautify the garden areas on the Azalea Wing (Memory Care) and Bluebell Wing at Hawthorn House. They even put together a few pieces of furniture for our front porch! We look forward to Volunteer Week and are so grateful to the volunteers that help make our village a home! Thank you!

Our weekend was off to a great start with a visit from our friend Cody, the therapy dog! It was a real treat having him visit our residents—they look forward to each cuddle.🥰🐾

Tole painting made its debut at Hawthorn House! 🥚🎨

Tole painting is the art of painting on nontraditional surfaces like wooden eggs. With guidance from instructor Maika (who also teaches at Bob Hope Village), residents created decorative eggs full of personality.

Many residents feel unsure about painting and crafts, but Maika helped build their confidence and encouraged them to enjoy the process of creating. ❤️

We’re already looking forward to having Maika back again!
