March is Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Awareness Month. DVT occurs when a blood clot forms in a deep vein, most commonly in the legs, which can partially or completely block circulation.
DVT is a serious condition because a clot can break loose and travel to the lungs, causing a life-threatening complication called a pulmonary embolism. That’s why recognizing symptoms like persistent leg swelling, pain, warmth, or redness and seeking medical evaluation is so important.
Awareness and early care can make a critical difference in protecting your vein health.

Spring is just a few short weeks away, which means more chances to get outside and move. Walking, biking, even light exercise helps improve circulation and keeps your veins working the way they should.
As the weather warms up, it’s a great time to get back into healthy habits. Your legs will feel the difference!

We’re thankful when patients take the time to share their experiences. Betty L. wrote that she was happy with her care with our office and that treatment “gave her life back.”
