Our Story

We are under new management and are currently looking to increase our workforce in both the plant and management. We encourage you to come in and talk to us. We are offering the opportunity to earn higher wages for those who are career minded.

Steven M. Van Doren started S & D SAW & TOOL CO., INC. on February 1, 1999. Having many years of experience in the manufacturing and service of saw blades, he determined the only way to separate S & D from the rest of the competition would be to focus on honesty and caring as a basis for what we were all about. Consistent quality would be a necessity and a natural part in manufacturing and servicing our product. We would have to treat our customers as if their business were our own, relieving them of the burden of mistrust and allowing them to focus on what they needed to grow their business. We would have to hire employees that would treat our company as if it were their own, and we would have to create an environment where growth and teamwork was a daily occurrence. We would offer our customers what our competition would not; innovative components saving the customer money while providing a superior product at our expense. We have been very successful in achieving these things and invite you to become a part of something very special.

The purpose of this page is to aid in our hiring process seeking the best available people to join our team and to let you know what we are presently doing.

In 2015, we challenged our employees with a new endeavor. We have provided a stable and successful day shift employment with affordable medical insurance and would like to offer increased wages. We strive to pursue new business and use the profits of that new business to increase wages. All the employee would have to do is be dependable, hard working, and treat the company as if it were their own. We have been very successful and are presently seeking new employees to add to that success.

By January 1, 2018 we have increased our starting wage by 23%, our base rate by 45%, our workforce by 20%, and created new management positions. We have completed our expansion. By doing so we created more capacity for growth and implemented a new pay for performance opportunity for our employees. We are proud to announce many of our employees took advantage of this new opportunity and have their wages rise above shop rate and into the upper teens / hour.

2019 has been the best year in the companies history thanks to the continuous effort of our employees buying into the team aspect. We would like to invite you to join us and aid in our growing process.

2020 has been an interesting year so far. When the covid pandemic hit we were considered an essential business. We were affected by the shutdown of businesses but have made a quick recovery. We are under new management and are currently looking to increase our workforce in both the plant and management.
