To recognize American Heart Month in February, and specifically Cardiovascular Professionals Week (February 8th – 15th), we celebrated the dedicated Cardiovascular Professionals at Knox Community Hospital. Since heart disease is the leading cause of death in Knox County, heart health awareness and prevention are vital.
As a token of our appreciation, our Mt. Vernon campus presented these professionals with a basket containing heart-healthy almonds and tasty apples. We celebrate their hard work and commitment to our community, which often takes place behind the scenes, ensuring everyone's hearts remain strong and healthy.

Over the coming weeks you will see a new look around the Country Club campuses. We are providing our employees with color coordinated uniforms based on the department they are in. Housekeeping and dietary will be in Black, STNA’s will be in Royal Blue, as seen here with some of our staff from the Newton Falls campus. Navy Blue will be for the nursing department in skilled nursing, LPN’s in Assisted Living will be in a Green. Wine will be the activity department, assisted living aides will be in Teal Blue, Med Techs will be in Ceil Blue, and therapy in Gray. Our maintenance department will be in Brown, and our construction department and landscapers will be in Green. This change will add a level of professionalism, and provide visual consistency for our residents. Once all the shirts have been delivered in the next few weeks we will share more photos so you can become more familiar with the new look.
