Every Monday at 9:45 AM, Pastor Steve and friends from the First Baptist Church visit our Newton Falls campus to lead residents in singing hymns. These visits are always enjoyed by the residents, who love singing together as a group.

This summer, our Newton Falls campus boasts a thriving garden, cultivated with care by residents. Despite the dry weather, they've diligently watered the plants daily, anticipating a bountiful harvest of tomatoes, radishes, baby carrots, lettuce, and several varieties of peppers. The garden also features a vibrant array of flowers, adding a touch of color to the landscape.

Our Mt. Vernon campus just finished a capital improvement project, the installation of a new elevator system. The installer was Davis & Newcomer Elevator Co, Inc. who did a wonderful job on this project, completing it ahead of schedule! The first riders were Karen Lawson, RN, LNHA and Vice President of Operations, and Aleta Bullock, LNHA-MHA of the Mt. Vernon campus.

Residents at our Newton Falls Assisted Living campus recently enjoyed a cooking club activity where they prepared lasagna rolls. The recipe featured lasagna noodles, ground beef, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, and sauce. Residents skillfully rolled the meat and cheese mixture into the noodles and arranged them in a baking pan. After baking, the delicious lasagna rolls were ready, and our residents savored their culinary creations.

Ashland's Assisted Living residents recently enjoyed their weekly cooking club, where they prepared individual bags of Puppy Chow. This sweet snack, made with Corn Chex, peanut butter, chocolate chips, powdered sugar, and butter, was a hit. Residents combined the Chex, chocolate chips, and peanut butter, then microwaved the mixture briefly before coating it in powdered sugar. Some enjoyed their Puppy Chow right away, while others saved it for an evening treat to enjoy while watching TV.

Residents from our Ashtabula campus enjoyed a wonderful outing to the fair yesterday! They started their day at the animal barns, visiting cows, pigs, goats, and other farm animals. Next, everyone explored the fair's food stalls before deciding on their lunch choices. After eating, residents continued to walk around, browsing vendor booths and enjoying some people-watching. The weather was perfect, and a great time was had by all.

Yesterday, residents in Assisted Living at our Dover campus enjoyed their recipe club, where they created individual delicious no-bake peanut butter pies. The pies featured crushed peanut butter cookies, vanilla pudding, a peanut butter crumble, and whipped cream. The group had a wonderful time mixing the ingredients and even more fun savoring their creation afterward.

Residents at our Ashland Assisted Living campus recently celebrated everyone's birthdays for the month with a party. Our Activity Director, Casie, baked chocolate and vanilla cupcakes at home, and residents enjoyed decorating them with icing for the upcoming celebration.

This week at our Dover campus, the aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air as residents in Assisted Living gathered to make donuts for recipe club. Utilizing the convenience and healthier aspects of an air fryer, the donuts were cooked to a perfect golden crispness. Once cooled, the residents eagerly took over, dusting each donut with a generous coating of powdered sugar. Laughter and lively conversation filled the room as everyone admired their creations before the best part – eagerly devouring the warm, sweet treats.

Yesterday residents at our Assisted Living campus in Ashland held a meeting of their walking club. The group gathered in the activity room and then went outside and were able to enjoy some great morning weather for their walk. The group walked around the campus and through the courtyard enjoying the lovely flowers and vegetables that are in full bloom. The group plans to meet at least once a week to get in their steps.

Yesterday morning, the Ashtabula campus was filled with lively energy as residents gathered for an invigorating game of Corn Hole. The friendly competition brought smiles and laughter, providing a wonderful start to the day's activities.
