Yoga 1 with Abbey - the study of Yoga basics: breath, balance, and body/mind awareness to develop strength, flexibility, and clarity of mind. Moves “faster” than Foundations and is more physically challenging.
Yoga 1 with Lori C - Yoga 1 provides a combination of sustained poses with attention to proper alignment. This practice offers an energetic and integrated combination of standing, seated and balance postures; as a result, breath, focus, strength and flexibility will be enhanced. A variety of props and modifications will be incorporated to meet the needs of the beginner or a practicing yogi wanting a refresher.
Yoga 2 with Abbey - Breaking down the Ashtanga Primary series.
Yoga 2.5 with Abbey - an advanced yoga class with an emphasis on building the “total body” strength that enables the study of inversions and arm balances. Emphasis on core work.
Yoga 3 with Abbey - Advanced work in backbends, breath, and inversions.
Yoga Flow with Abbey - Sat 8:30 - A Free Online Only practice linking postures together with breath and awareness. No instruction.
Yoga Flow with dan-o - An intermediate, level two flow focused on fundamental fine tuning, while exploring the foundations of more advanced yoga techniques. Questions and individual adaptations are encouraged, and we will offer both group participation and home study on facebook!
Yoga for Balance & Relaxation with Tim (20 min.) - Quick sessions to help us gain more control of mind and body. Strengthening muscles and learning techniques to enable us to stay upright with confidence and ease and reduce stress.
Yoga Flexibility with Tim (20 min.) - Quick sessions to keep you stretched and flexible. A lot of twisting, bending, pulling and stretching to allow all part of our bodies to gain more mobility and have more fun.
Ashtanga Flow with dan-o - This class is for intermediate and advanced students who want the full expression of the Walnut Lodge style Ashtanga.
Beginning Yoga Flow Rebuild with Ron - A multi level flow class to increase mobility, balance and breath. Especially for those working with arthritic hip and back or other compromises. For everyone.
Chair Yoga with Tim - All exercises in these sessions are done sitting on a chair or standing. This course works on learning the basics of yoga and improving mindfulness, core strength, range of motion, and balance. You will be encouraged to set personal goals and to work on your own between classes.
Core Yoga with Lori C - Are you looking to strengthen your core to support you in your yoga practice and your day to day activities? Together, we will focus on examining and strengthening the abdominal muscles combining core-strengthening exercises and pulling in other traditions like Pilates and traditional yoga postures. Light weights may be used for some exercises.
Foundations with Abbey - the study of Yoga basics: breath, balance, and body/mind awareness to develop strength, flexibility, and clarity of mind. Moves “slower” than Yoga 1 and less physically challenging. Emphasis on correctly working and strengthening the back.
Light Yoga with Tim - A course for people starting or resuming their yoga practices and for people that might have some minor physical restrictions. This class will help develop strength and flexibility in all parts of the body, especially the core. Exercises will use both the chair and mat and encourage participants to set and achieve personal goals.
Math, Music, Measure, and Movement with Abbey: a “full-body” experience of mathematical principles using movement and music. Students will: work with Pa dept of Ed math standards for 2nd/3rd grade, build 3-dimensional structures, work with pattern recognition and creation, and learn the basics of choreography.
Multi Props Yoga with dan-o - A gentle morning workout for all levels exploring the use of various tools to adapt and enhance your personal experience. Questions and explorations are encouraged as we modify our postures to individual needs. An important aspect to every class is our hand dexterity work using "Baoding" meditation balls, and finger exercise bands.
Soft Yoga Flow in the Yin Style with dan-o - A gentle morning stretch for all levels combining gentle, smooth movement and breath patterns with longer holds for a deep stretch. Class will be offered in a group setting and as a Facebook feed!
Therapeutic Movement with Abbey - Using gentle repetitive movements, props, imagery and breath, this class works to unwind stuck fascia, re-pattern inefficient muscle patterning and bring the body/mind connection to the front of our awareness. Meditative, gentle, and life changing.
Ballet 1 with Abbey - kids –> adults…learn the basics of ballet technique.
Ballet 2 - kids- adults….Suitable for students that have studied the basics of ballet technique. Center work and more advanced barre work.
Ballet 3 - Intermediate-advanced ballet technique. Instructor approval required.
Pointe - Intermediate work. Instructor approval required.
Mixed Level Ballet - Stressing the basics, focus on center work.
